while AI does the work it took me about 8 years to get to, I’m writing this post
watching how fast AI does my work, it can feel like the future is being built at least twice as fast
and the first reaction is: so what’s left for me?
but really, if you split building any product into 4 stages: gathering information, analysing data, making decisions, taking action
it turns out AI only covers the work with data, and leaves decisions, actions and responsibility to people
AI can gather in a minute everything I would have searched for a week
it can do the math, find patterns and suggest 10 options
but it can’t pick one of them and answer for the consequences
let alone go negotiate, launch and see it through
from that angle you start to see that the hardest part is still on people
knowing and calculating is no longer an advantage, everyone has it now
the advantage now is with whoever is ready to decide and act
and only those who take responsibility and act will get to build
